About
Sujay Kumar Thakur is a Harvard-educated entrepreneur, investor, and real-estate developer with more than two decades of experience spanning finance, education, and business innovation. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley in Chemical Engineering and Finance, and an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Owner President Management Program (OPM), Thakur combines analytical rigor with visionary leadership. As CEO of Raj Holdings and Thakur Enterprises, he oversees development, acquisition, and management of more than 1.5 million square feet of industrial, retail, and residential property. Under his direction, Raj Holdings has expanded into adjacent sectors including hospitality, childcare, and early-education ventures — always anchored by a core expertise in real-estate ownership and operations. Before founding his companies, Thakur built a high-level finance career in New York, serving as Senior Vice President in Equity Derivatives at Lehman Brothers and later with BNP Paribas, where he led global portfolio trading sales and helped generate multimillion-dollar growth across North American and international markets. His business acumen bridges Wall Street discipline with Main Street development, enabling him to identify value in both financial systems and physical assets. Today, his focus lies in smart growth and socially conscious investment, particularly projects that merge education, technology, and real estate.
